Job Description: The Nicholson School of Communication and Media (NSCM) in the College of Arts and Humanities at the University of Central Florida (UCF) seeks a nine-month, tenure-earning assistant professor or tenured associate or full professor for research and teaching in the Department of Games and Interactive Media. This position includes teaching, research, and service-based duties. The anticipated start date is August 8, 2020.

Research and teaching responsibilities include contributing to the mission of Games and Interactive Media in appropriate areas of scholarship and working at the intersection of theory and practice. Appropriate specializations may include areas such as game design and development, web design, social media, mobile and responsive design, virtual/augmented/mixed reality, technical art, and other research areas related to the intersection of interactive technology, art, and the humanities. Faculty will support the Digital Media B.A. (with specializations in Web and Social Platforms and Game Design) and the Digital Media M.A. and have the opportunity to work with students in Strategic Communication Ph.D. program as well as Text and Technology Ph.D. program.
